Iran’s Fariyar Aminipour suffered his first ever professional defeat at ONE Friday Fights 46 against Thai star Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai.

In an uncharacteristic manner, the usually cautious 23-year-old Iranian charged forward with powerful punching combinations, leaving defensive gaps that his counterpart made good use of.

Aminipour kicked off the action in the Bantamweight Muay Thai contest with two right high kicks followed by a combination of strong body shots, but the Thai swung a left punch to the Iranian’s chin, dropping him to the canvas.

Aminipour returned to his feet, employing his quick movements to avoid another knockdown. But when the Iranian drove forward again with ferocious punch combinations, the 25-year-old Thai reversed the tables on the Iranian.

A huge body shot by Kulabdam to Aminipour’s liver dropped the latter to the canvas, earning the Thai a memorable first-round knockout victory.

After suffering his first professional loss, Aminipour’s overall record drops to 15-1. The Iranian talent, who trains out of Tiger Muay Thai, had won four fights in a row at ONE Friday Fights.

With this win, the two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai world champion raises his ONE record to 6-3 and his overall professional record to 69-18-5.
