Mouhcine Chafi is getting ready for his second bout in ONE Championship against Russia’s Dmitry Menshikov at ONE Fight Night 17.
Chafi, 26, hopes to get his first promotional win this Saturday December 9 after falling to Sinsamut Klinmee by unanimous decision.

1. Chafi Started in Karate
Following in the footsteps of his father, Chafi started his martial arts career in karate.
After training in karate for four years, he moved to Kickboxing and Muay Thai, combining all three disciplines into his game.

For the majority of Chafi’s career, he’s been training under the respected coach Lluis Lloret.
Since 2016, Chafi has moved from being an amateur to a world champion, gaining his nickname “The Assassin” in the process.

Chafi has collected world titles at every level, amassing an impressive 31-6-2 professional record.
A WBC Muay Thai European, International, and World Champion, Chafi captured the WBC Light Heavyweight Muay Thai World Title this past July.
4. Chafi worked as a Full-time Chef
The Moroccan paid the bills by working as a chef before becoming a full-time Muay Thai athlete.
Chafi remained focused on martial arts during that time, finding the time to train every day.
5. Chafi Comes from a Family of Farmers
