Iran’s Peyman Zolfaghari suffered a first-round knockout in under two minutes at ONE Championship’s event ONE Friday Fights 40 on Friday 10 November.
In the Catchweight (54.43 KG) Muay Thai bout, 26-year-old Zolfaghari never managed to find his feet as he was dominated by the undefeated 19-year-old Aliff Sor Dechapan.
After the two fighters traded kicks in the first moments of the opening round, Aliff dropped the Iranian with a shocking left hook after 15 seconds.
Zolfaghari got back to his feet, but Aliff continued to target the Iranian with punches, dropping Zolfaghari again to the canvas with a right hand. The Iranian struggled back up again, but another right punch knocked him down for the third time, sealing the victory at 1:44 in the first round.
After his disappointing performance, Zolfaghari sees his overall record drop to 26-3.
With another KO win – his third in four victories in his 4-0 ONE Friday Fights record – Aliff raises his overall record to 57-7, punching his way to a six-figure ONE Championship contract.
