Three Iranian fighters are set to make their debuts at ONE Championship’s weekly martial arts series ONE Friday Fights this Friday 17 November.
In the biggest fight of the three, Iran’s Meysam Adelniya faces Parnpet Sor Jor Lekmuangnon who aims to return to winning ways after two consecutive losses against Iran’s Soroush Akbari and Lebanon’s Abdallah Ondash.
The 19-year-old Iranian, who owns an overall record of 15-8, will face the more experienced Thai fighter (70-17) in a Catchweight (57.2 KG) Muay Thai contest.
Two Iranians will feature in the first two fights on the ONE Friday Fights 41 card which will both be held under mixed martial arts ruleset.
In the show’s opening fight, 26-year-old Milad Hosseini will face Portuguese counterpart Leandro Gomes in Flyweight MMA. Hosseini, who bases his fighting style on wrestling, has a 2-0 MMA record while his competitor has a 4-1 record.
In another MMA fight, Iran’s Morteza Noroozi faces Russia’s Gadzhimurad Amirzhanov in a welterweight contest. It will be a clash of styles as the 33-year-old Iranian (2-0 in MMA), who employs a wushu fighting style, faces the Russian kickboxing expert who owns a 4-0 MMA record.
ONE Friday Fights is a weekly martial arts show that takes place every Friday at 3:30 PM Mecca time inside the famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The international portion of the show is broadcast live via BeINSPORTS in the MENA region while ONE Championship’s YouTube channel streams the entire event.
