Iranian duo Morteza Noroozi and Meysam Adelniya suffered heavy defeats on their ONE debuts at ONE Friday Fights 41 on Friday 17 November.
Noroozi lost his welterweight MMA fight against Gazhimurad Amirzhanov via a second-round TKO. The Russian dominated his Iranian counterpart, finishing him with a well-timed takedown followed by elbows to the face from a crucifix position.
After 33-year-old Noroozi had managed to earn a takedown of his own in the second round of the opening bout at ONE Friday Fights 41, Amirzhanov swept him onto his back for the TKO finish at 3:25 of round two, capturing his second win in ONE. Meanwhile, Noroozi’s MMA record dropped to 2-1.
And in a 57.15 Kg Muay Thai battle, Meysam Adelniya also suffered a TKO loss to Parnpet Sor Jor Lekmuangnon, who earned his first win in three fights in ONE.
After a close first frame, the 23-year-old Thai managed to strike efficiently in the second round, dropping his Iranian opponent with a right hook followed up with a left hook, finishing him at 0:30 of the second round.
Parnpet improved his overall record to 71-17, breaking his two-loss-streak. A fight, which featured a third Iranian Milad Hosseini going head-to-head against Portugal’s Leandro Gomes, was cancelled.
