Mouhcine Chafi is scheduled to face Dmitry Menshikov in a Lightweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 17, ONE Championship has announced.

Mouhcine Chafi, whose overall record stands at 31-6, is a former WBC Muay Thai Middleweight European champion. After a unanimous decision defeat against Thailand’s Sinsamut Klinmee on his ONE debut, Chafi will be hoping to pick up his first victory at the martial arts promotion on December 9.

Nicknamed “The Assassin”, the 26-year-old Moroccan will lock horns with Russia’s Menshikov who scored an impressive first round-knockout win against Thailand’s Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong in September.

Menshikov signed for ONE Championship with an impressive 11-fight winning streak. However, he suffered a debut defeat against ONE Lightweight Muay Thai world champion Regian Eersel. Now the Russian star wants to improve his overall record of 28-2 to earn a rematch against Eersel.

The all-Muay-Thai ONE Fight Night 17 card will be headlined by a battle between ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing champion Roman Kryklia and Australia’s Alex Roberts for the inaugural ONE Heavyweight Muay Thai world title.

ONE Fight Night 17 kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca and will be broadcast live via BeIN Sports in the MENA region.
